My Entry for Halloween Challenge sponsored by Oh My Crafts.

Here is my card for the Halloween Challenge sponsored by Oh My Crafts. I used paper doll dress up, and I used my brand new Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch, I love it. Any way here is my Halloween creation. Hope you like it, I sure had a blast making it.

I ordered Mini Monsters!!

So I have seen some really cute projects for Halloween using the Mini Monsters cartridge, and I broke down and ordered it. I am so excited to get it and start creating with it. The little monsters look so cute, and I think they will be so cute for my son's Halloween layouts too, so I just have so many ideas swimming around in my head for this cartridge. Again I am just so glad that so many people are nice enough to share their ideas, that was what made me start my blog, I wanted to share my projects and ideas too. I am in no way as good as some of the other talented people out there, and there are a lot of talented people out there, but I am learning, and maybe one day I will be almost as good as everyone else. So I hope you enjoy my blog, and hope it doesn't bore you too bad!! I am super excited about fall, and I can't wait to get some ideas on paper, or some other projects I want to work on done. There are just too many things I want to do and so little time lol! So I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Cards I made this Week

Here are some cards I put together this week, and I am just now getting to add the pictures for everyone to see. I love the little owl, isn't she super cute!
Here is one with a poodle on it, and I used my brand new cuddle bug to emboss the purple mat. I am loving my new cuddle bug.
I am so proud of this one, I think it is my best one yet. I love the shimmery blue paper I used for the bird. I also used my cuddle bug for the bottom mat on this one.
This one has a frog, and it isn't complete yet. I have to make a trip to the craft store before I can finish him completely.
Here is the little squirrel. All of these animals were from create a critter, and the phrase on this one was from the same cartridge. I thought this one turned out cute too! Hope you guys like them. Have a great day everyone!

My Second Scrapbook Layout

So this is my second scrapbook layout for this week. It is made with pictures of my son asleep.
I used my create a critter cartridge for this one also, I love this cartridge it has so many cute images to use, and phrases.
The phrase sweet dreams is from the same cartridge, I always do a little bit of doodling if I think it looks to plain.
Here is the little lamb, isn't he the cutest thing! I added googly eyes to him also. I just think this page turned out so cute!
Here is a shot of the page in it's entirety. Hope you like it! I know I had a blast making it, and when my son seen it he just had a fit over it lol! He is such a cutie.

Scrapbook Layout for my Son.

I did this layout for some of my son's summer pictures from this year. He loved playing in the water so I picked out some of my favorite pictures of him playing in the water to add to the layout.
I used my, you guessed it, my Create a Critter cartridge for the crab and octopus and for the little star fish at the bottom. I just think it turned out so CUTE!!! I used my songbird cartridge for the numbers.
Here is a close up of the little pirate octopus lol!!
A close up of the little crab, and I added little googly eyes to him, I think it makes him extra cute! I also did a little doodling on him and on the octopus.
So this is the first of my new scrapbook layouts, I hope you like it!

Today was like Christmas in August!! My new create a critter cartridge, and my very first set of Scrappy Mom stamps arrived in the mail today!! I thought I would have to wait until Wed. SURPRISE!!! they were in the mailbox today yay for me!! So of course I had to start playing with them immediately, and here are some cards I came up with. I thought they turned out super cute! This is defiantly my new FAVORITE cartridge!!
For this one I used the ladybug on pg. 66. The flower I put on her head was from pg. 47, and the sentiment was from my new scrappy mom stamp set amusing animals. Isn't she the cutest little ladybug! She was cut out at 3 3/4 inches, and she is on a regular A2 size card.
Next I had to do one of the puppy dogs, he was just too darn cute to pass up. He was cut out at 3 3/4 also, he was on pg.35. His hat was from pg.29 it was cut at 3 in. His sentiment was also from my new scrappy mom stamp set. He is also super cute. Can't you tell I am so excited about my new stuff lol!!

I did this card prior to getting my new cartridge and stamp set, I used my celebrations cartridge for the hat, and the stamp was made by studio G clear stamps. It was simple but I thought it turned out cute. That was all I got to do for tonight, but tomorrow is a new day! I know I will have to play with it some more tomorrow, so until then Happy Card making!!

Still Getting used to Blogging!

Well I am still playing with all of the settings on my blog, and I am still finding blogs to follow. I think I love this blogging thing lol! I am having a blast searching, and finding new ideas. I think it is so great that so many people care enough to share their ideas. I just love it!!! Anyway I went to Michaels yesterday, and I found some cute fabric flowers on sale, and I picked up a few other things. I got home and was on the internet and found some new really cute ideas to try out, and now I am wanting to make another trip back to the store. I went to Joann's the other day and got a fiskers border punch for $3.97, that was a steal. I am super excited to get my new cartridge(create a critter) and my cuttlebug yay!!! I am SUPER excited to be getting that, and let's see what else..... Oh! I purchased my very first set of scrappy mom stamps, and I absolutely cannot wait for all my goodies to arrive! I made a new card last night so I might upload some pics. So just stay tuned I have some projects that I am going to try and find some time to make, and I will share those when I get them done. Have a great day everyone!

Recycled Baby Formula Can

So I decided to reuse some of Logan's old formula cans, I have done this with two other cans, but I decided that I needed one more in a fun animal print, and that I would add my initials to it. Why I felt the need to put my initials on it I have no idea, but it turned out fun and SUPER CUTE!!
I used zebra print card stock, I believe this was from the all dressed up paper pak but I am not one hundred percent sure, but it is cute! I then took just plain pink ribbon and using my new ATG gun I adhered it to the top and bottom edge of the can.
I then took pink and lime green card stock and cut out my initials using the Songbird cartridge, it has a very pretty font, and I cut the S and the R out at 2 1/2" and the D was cut out at 3". After I finished and looked at it, I realized that I should have cut my last initial out as the bigger letter in the center, and my middle initial the last letter, but it's mine and I thought it turned out better than the other two before it.
So this is my way of recycling something old into something cute and useful! Hope you guys liked it, I know I love it. I just have to decide what to put in it now, but I am sure I will find something lol! Hope you enjoyed it, and like it, and hope everyone has a great day!!

My first cards!!

For the top pic I used my stretch your imagination cartridge, the card itself was made with regular kraft cardstock paper. I thought the bird turned out so cute! I have fell in love with making cards!
For this card I used my celebrations cartridge, and again with kraft cardstock. I thought this one also turned out cute. I know I used the same birthday stamp but it is the only one I have at the moment. I hope to get some more stamps, I have looked at the scrappy mom stamps, my pink stamper stamps, and the hero arts stamps, and will probably end up buying some of each lol! They all look to be very cute stamps, and look like they would make cute cards.

This one was my very first card, a halloween card as you can see, and I made it with my dress up paper dolls cartridge, that cartridge is my favorite at the moment, but I am really wanting the create a critter cartridge, and I am saving all my money to buy it at the moment, a lot of people complain about the price on the cartridges, I have bought all of mine from ebay, I always seem to get a good price there I think the most I have paid on there was twenty six dollars, I think. I have also seen joann's have pretty good sales on them, and there is always michael's, but you can't use coupons on them. So I usually end up buying mine on ebay. Hope you like my cards just keep in mind that I am just starting out, so I know they aren't that great, but I plan on practicing, and watching more videos on card making. Hope you guys have a great day!

Some pics of my new ATG gun!

Like I said before I love the Pink color! It was very easy to load, and even easier to use! All in all as you can tell I am very excited about getting this for my paper crafting projects. If you were like me I price checked them first, and I thought this gun was a little pricey, but after researching this one beside the glue glide pro, this one was way more cost effective. The glue glide pro refills were way more expensive. I also found out Michaels carried this one, so I called and had them hold one for me, and I even got to use a 40% off coupon to get it. I think it ended up being around twenty dollars and something in the end. So here is my take on this particular gun if you are undecided about getting one I would say go for it if you use a lot of adhesive. In the end it comes down to what you want to spend, and what you want to do. Hope this helps someone, happy paper crafting!

Friday, August 13, 2010

Well yesterday I finally got to get one of the ATG scotch tape guns, and it just happens to be my favorite color PINK! I used it last night to make a few cards, well the base to a few cards. I am trying to save up enough money to get the create a critter cricut cartridge, and I can't wait to get it. I have seen so many cute ideas for it's use. Anyway back to getting the ATG gun, I saw online that Michaels started carrying the pink ones that benefit breast cancer, so I got my ATG gun I wanted and got to help out a good cause at the same time, and got to use a coupon, and didn't have to pay any shipping. That is what I call a win win situation lol! I love this adhesive gun, as I have said before I just started to really get into making cards and paper crafting. I am enjoying learning new things and getting new ideas. Have a great day!
